Director General Mrs KANEZA Alexia

Mrs KANEZA Alexia is the Director General of the Medical Insurance Scheme of the University of Rwanda (MIS/UR). Backed by more than 20 years of experience in healthcare administration, project management, and finance, she drives the operational success of the university's healthcare insurance services. She holds a Master's Degree in Project Management from Mount Kenya University and a Bachelor's degree in Management from the National University of Rwanda.

The Director General of MIS/UR

Mrs KANEZA Alexia — Director General, MIS/UR Mrs KANEZA Alexia is the Director General of the Medical Insurance Scheme of the University of Rwanda. Backed by more than 20 years of experience in healthcare administration, project management, and finance, she holds a Master's Degree in Project Management from Mount Kenya University and a Bachelor's degree in Management from the National University of Rwanda.

MIS/UR covers a comprehensive range of healthcare services to protect every member of our university community.

Emergency Care

In any case of illness or injury, take advantage of affordable, accessible urgent care services through our partner network.

Surgery (Minor & Major)

Coverage for medical procedures that involve incision on the body to repair, remove or replace a part — minor or major.

Outpatient Checkup

Outpatient consultations and checkups — patients hospitalized for not more than 24 hours are fully covered.

Ambulance Services

MIS/UR covers all emergency ambulance services from anywhere across the country for active members.

Medicine & Pharmacy

The standard package covers most medicines prescribed by your General Practitioner or Specialist Consultant.

Laboratory Testing

Blood tests and laboratory diagnostic services at accredited partner facilities across Rwanda.
