Medical Insurance Scheme of the University of Rwanda
Created in 2001, Mutuelle de Santé de l'Université Nationale du Rwanda (MS/UNR) served the then NUR community in healthcare services as insurer. After the creation of the University of Rwanda in late 2013, the scheme now serves the whole UR community as the Medical Insurance Scheme of the University of Rwanda (MIS/UR), located at Remera Campus in Kigali.
The scheme serves students from all university colleges and campuses and is committed to delivering better service for the whole university community. This makes MIS/UR the biggest university-based medical insurance project in Rwanda.

Today MIS/UR covers over 35,000 members including students and the university academic, administrative and technical staff with their dependents.
